Canadian Jan Richmond was born and raised in Edson, Alberta, Canada. Upon high school graduation, she entered the University of Victoria, and completed an Elementary Education degree. She began a career as a teacher, and during the early years of her career had found that she had a passion for sculpting, a passion discovered with a grade five class. This experience stayed with her through the years, and after retiring, found the time to explore her artistic interests. Her desire to sculpt stone was rekindled, and knew she had found her medium. |
